Located in the historical Union Station in downtown Toronto, this Hale flagship shop is a unique combination of cafe, beer hall, wine bar and roasting facility. Given its context, the design of this space takes on certain historical motif and represented it in contemporary approach. Located in the center of the shop is a curved bar, which contains all the necessary funtions ranging from pastry display case to espresso machine to beer taps. It also subdivided the back of the house from its seating area witout visually reducing the volume of the space. Above the bar is an over sized lighting fixture, like an illuminating steel cloud, it provide the visual attraction to draw the customer into the shop.
